Chengdu Haitong Axle Co., Ltd.
Chengdu Haitong Axle Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary established in October 2003 by Qingdao Haitong Group through investment in Xindu District. The company primarily manufactures front, middle, and rear axle assemblies for commercial vehicles and serves as a key supplier to the Chengdu Branch of FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. In 2010, Chengdu Haitong produced 30,000 sets of axle assemblies annually, generating profits and taxes totaling 27.8 million yuan. With the deepening implementation of China’s Western Development Strategy, FAW Jiefang Group decided to invest in Xindu District, building a production base capable of manufacturing 150,000 light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks each year. As an integral part of this project, our company leveraged the strong financial, material, and technical support from the parent group to launch a modern factory expansion project in 2011 in the eastern industrial zone of Xindu. The project, which spanned 120 mu of land, required an investment of 260 million yuan, including 20 million yuan allocated specifically for advanced equipment. Two highly automated assembly lines for front and rear axle components, along with one state-of-the-art painting line, were newly constructed. This expansion boosted the company’s annual axle assembly production capacity from 30,000 sets to 150,000 sets.
Haitong is leveraging its move to a new location as a springboard for growth, embarking on its second phase of entrepreneurship.
