Since then, realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has become the greatest dream shared by the Chinese people and the Chinese nation as a whole.

　　To save the nation from peril, the Chinese people rose up in defiance, while patriotic intellectuals and visionaries tirelessly rallied support. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, the Hundred Days' Reform, the Boxer Rebellion, and the Xinhai Revolution followed one after another—each representing a bold attempt to chart a path to national salvation. Yet despite these ambitious efforts, all ultimately ended in failure. China urgently needed fresh ideas to guide its struggle for survival, as well as a new kind of organization capable of uniting revolutionary forces under a common cause.

　　The October Revolution, with its single cannon blast, brought Marxism-Leninism to China. It was in the great awakening of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation—and through the close integration of Marxism-Leninism with the Chinese workers' movement—that the Communist Party of China was born. The founding of the Communist Party of China was a momentous event that marked the beginning of a new era, profoundly transforming the course and trajectory of the Chinese nation's development since modern times. It also dramatically reshaped the destinies of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation, as well as significantly altering the global trends and geopolitical landscape.

　　From the moment of its birth, the Communist Party of China has firmly established as its founding mission the pursuit of happiness for the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Over the past century, everything the CPC has done—its struggles, sacrifices, and achievements—has ultimately converged around a single, overarching goal: realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

This has led to a transformative journey—from a highly centralized planned economy toward a vibrant socialist market economy; from isolation and semi-closure to comprehensive, all-round openness. This includes upholding the central government's overall authority over the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, ensuring the legal frameworks and enforcement mechanisms necessary for safeguarding national security within these regions. Our goal is to protect national sovereignty, security, and development interests, maintain social stability in the Special Administrative Regions, and ensure the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao.

　　Resolving the Taiwan issue and achieving the complete reunification of the motherland is a historical mission that the Communist Party of China has steadfastly pursued, as well as a shared aspiration of all Chinese sons and daughters. We must uphold the One-China principle and the 1992 Consensus to advance the process of peaceful national reunification.
